Reliability analysis of bistable composite laminates

Bistable composite laminates are smart composites that have been employed for engineering structures due to their superlative offering of features like ability change shape and low densities. Because the embedded geometrical nonlinearity factor, a small variation input parameters leads significant changes in response bistable laminates. In other words, Uncertainty Quantification (UQ) makes bistability characteristics. As result, behavior is extremely reliant on dimensions elastic material properties as design parameters. Reliability analysis deals with quantitative assessment occurrence probability UQ. this regard, reliability sensitivity plate investigated through Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) multiple types uncertain parameters, geometry properties, assumed random variables. The results indicate plates high be statistical properties. Moreover, illustrates thickness coefficient thermal expansion more effect comparison confirmed by comparing them those determined Finite Element Method (FEM).
